Labs:

Learning of Pharmceutical sciences is thoroughly supported with practical. In view of that practicals are give due weight age in the syllabus. Geethanjali college of Pharmacy has provided total of 13 laboratories up to the date to cater the needs of students in learning practical skills in Pharmceutical sciences. These laboratories are designed in such a manner that, it provides better working environment and safety.

Laboratories are developed as per the norms of JNTU, AICTE, and PCI. Many of our laboratory measurements are more than specified norms. All laboratories are furnished with required Equipment, Apparatus, Glassware, Metal-ware and Computer Systems.

Currently the following laboratories are established to cater the needs of I II,&III B.Pharmacy students according to the JNTU curriculum. Remaining laboratories construction is completed, establishment is under process.

  1. Pharmceutical Chemistry - I Lab: Pharmceutical Inorganic Chemistry practicals are conducted.
  2. Pharmceutical Chemistry - II Lab: Pharmceutical Organic Chemistry - I & Pharmceutical Organic Chemistry II labs are conducted.
  3. Pharmceutics - I Lab: Physical Pharmacy - I & Physical Pharmacy - II labs are conducted
  4. Pharmceutics - II Lab: Dispensing and Hospital Pharmacy labs & Pharmceutical Unit Operations II labs are conducted
  5. Pharmcology I Lab.: Anatomy and Physiology labs and Health Education and Pathophysiology practicals are conducted.
  6. Pharmcognosy Lab: Pharmcognosy - I labs and Remedial Biology labs are conducted.
  7. Pharmceutical Analysis Lab: Pharmceutical Analysis - I, lab is conducted.
  8. Central Instrumentation Lab: Instrumental Analysis of Pharmceutically important compounds is carried out for their quality and quantity.
  9. Computer Laboratory/ English Language Lab: Computer Applications lab and English communication skills are conducted.
  10. Pharmceutical Microbiology Lab with Aseptic Room: These labs are highly sophisticated with good equipment and well furnished aseptic area to carry out microbiology practicals.

Lab Manuals

Laboratory facilities in GCOP include ample space, well equipped, sophisticated instruments and adequate consumables in all labs of major branches like  Pharmceutical chemistry&  Analysis, Pharmceutics.Pharmcognosy and Pharmcology departments.

Major equipment includes: UV Spectrophotometer(Double beam), Conductvitymeter, Potentiometer, FLourimeter, Nephlometer, Flame Photometer,Ph meter, Refractometer, polarimeter, ball mill apparatus, hot air oven, ointment sealing machine, handling of microscopes, RBC & WBC counting chambers, condenser, distillation apparatus, Sahlis Haemocytometer.
