Student Council

The main role of Student Council is "to promote the interests of the students in alignment with that of the college, and involve the students in the affairs of the college.

Major objectives:

• To enhance communication between students, staff and management
• To promote an environment conducive to educational and personal development.
• To promote camaraderie and respect among students.
• To support the management and staff in the development of the college.
• To represent the views of the students on matters of general concern, to the college administration/management

Functions:

• Representing the views of the student body to the college administration
• Promoting good communication within the college
• Contributing to the enrichment of Learning Environment of the College
• Mentoring program by senior students
• Contributing to the development of college policy
• Assisting college management in sports and cultural activities
• Assisting with NSS activities for development of nearby places

Dean and Associate Dean of Student affairs oversees the functioning of the Student Council.

• Meetings: The Committee shall meet at least twice a year or as and when required.
